The Personal Development programme has been designed to make a more well-rounded workforce, where individuals have a broader set of skills that help them to achieve their own personal goals.
Staff with six months' service will be able to broaden their skill set through accessing training for Foreign Languages, Technical Courses (e.g. coding etc) or engaging in life coaching sessions.
Staff with nine months' service will be able to access courses that can be used to develop others internally; these courses may include Introduction to Coaching, Pitching for Success, Public or Conference speaking etc. Employees who complete these courses will be expected to deliver an agreed number of sessions internally.
There will also be opportunities for staff with 12 months' service or more. Qualifications may include Coaching and Mental Health First Aid amongst others. Any individuals who become qualified will be expected to use their skills on an on-going basis.
Finally, Opus Talt Solutions will match funding (up to £1,000) for five individuals each calendar year to receive non-work related training in something they can deliver back in to our internal community. Examples of training we may part-fund include:
