We’re all over learning and development. As a talent solutions company, it’s a service we offer to our clients. So we need to know our stuff to make sure it delivers results.
Rapid and continued growth makes learning and development an essential part of our own retention and succession planning, ensuring all of our people are comfortable and confident in taking advantage of the career opportunities as they arise.
Our vision was to create a global development framework that was completely tailored to Opus employees at all levels, in all areas of the business.
Our Development Programmes, in conjunction with our wider benefits, in particular our innovative Personal Development Pillar, help to create well rounded individuals that are better prepared to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Our development programmes support employees wherever they are in their career.
Whether you’re an academic or someone embarking on a new career as a trainee, this programme will give you the tools to EVOLVE into something new.
Whether it be a management position, or a bigger role with wider scope, this programme will help you EXPLORE which career path most fits your skillset and mind-set and enable you to flourish.
This programme is for those who have already achieved a significant amount in their career, and are looking to EXCEL at director level.
Our industry leading internal Talent team deliver excellence in our specialist niche, teaching our people how to do the fundamentals of their job. Our offering takes into consideration differences encountered in geographical locations, brands, departments, and variations between teams.
This part of the development programme helps employees address any challenges that may be preventing them from thinking, feeling and behaving at their best in work. All content being delivered has been designed specifically for Opus employees by our suppliers, who are able to draw upon their specialist knowledge of psychology, neuroscience and economics.
In partnership with our expert life and leadership coach, this part of the programme will help employees access their best qualities, in order to lead themselves and others. Our expert coach has over 18 years’ experience working for FTSE 100s, leading and coaching teams in all areas of business and has worked closely with our Talent team to build this bespoke part of the programme.
We have recognised that, in an increasingly complex world of work, we all need additional tools to manage ourselves and support others.
Employees are given the opportunity to choose from a carefully crafted list of courses, sessions or activities, or make a suggestion for courses they feel they may benefit from that the Company can then part fund. Our ‘extra curricular’ training course options include life coaching, Mental Health First Aid, yoga and mindfulness, fitness training, coding, languages and the like.
We are aware that most companies attach a penalty to leaving a company after participating in an expensive training course. Opus do not believe this approach reflects our commitment to developing people, and as such, all employees have open access to this benefit. Employees who have engaged with the scheme are often asked, or in many cases volunteer, to share their newly found expertise in the future to help run, assist or facilitate basic training sessions on the knowledge and insights they have gained, to add to our workplace. We want to help develop the most rounded professionals in the industry.
