Practice Director

Role Overview:

The Practice Director will lead and add value to the development and execution of key sales growth strategies, tactics and action plans in response to changing trends and market conditions.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000

Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial and Business Performance

To own and hit/exceed personal sales targets on time and in budget

To provide insights to upper management with regards to the rapidly changing energy industries trends and market conditions

To understand risks and levers that drive and threaten value, and to contribute to the creation of business plans for a multidiscipline audience to capitalise on commercial opportunities

To report upwards on forces that may shift tactical budgets or strategic direction of accounts

Championing the use of internal business processes and systems in order to ensure consistent quality/level of service to clients

To set an example and work in line with company processes and systems which contribute to the company’s ability to grow its business including quality control, improvement, governance, management structure etc.

To use systems to analyse data and generate reports based on performance, budgets, forecasts etc for presenting upwards or downwards

Team/Skills Development

To coach, mentor and deliver training to sales professionals at all levels within the business to achieve a workforce of elite energy professionals.

To take a leadership role in high value projects with customers; coach, enable and empower sales professionals at the lower levels to deliver O&G project objectives in line with customer expectations

Contribute to drivers and incentives in conjunction with the Partner, Managing Directors and Directors

Champion of the JDR Energy culture, core values and standards; demonstrating, though actions and the actions of the team, compliance with the firm’s policies and respecting ‘the way we do things around here’

Business Development and Relationship Management

To be a trusted and influential client partner with long term, valued and intimate client relationships right across the energy industry

To build an exceptional personal brand within energy markets; have finger on pulse of industry advancements and be able to deliver specific targeted advice to clients and to the internal business as to what energy markets / projects are likely to be lucrative in the future

To be a subject matter expert in a specific technology and personally have a USP that is sought after by clients and the industry (e.g. speaking at events, owning an industryspecific blog)

To be able to sell and promote all JDR Energy brand value propositions; actively crossselling across our portfolio and client base, making referrals and introductions to the wider Opus group

To represent the Company positively in the external marketplace with regard to customers and professional associations to assist in the building of networks, reputation and profile

To personally own a portfolio of client relationships that represent significant value to the Company

To personally contribute to the bottom line, and motivate others to improve their performance to impact overall Company performance

To effectively build, develop and maintain strong client relationships and continuously nurture our client base

To fulfil the ongoing requirement to deliver excellent services to clients in the context of their particular needs

To lead and contribute to high value projects with customers; work with Managing Practice Director to translate projects in to timelines, deliverables and tangible outcomes
