Our people

Hatti Webster

Marketing Manager

To anyone applying, I would tell them, if you’re looking for an innovative, energetic and hard working environment, then Opus may well be the place for you!

There are many employers out there... What made you choose Opus?

I chose to come to Opus because of the vision that Amy and Darren have for the company. I wanted to be involved with a fast moving and innovative organisation where I could make a difference but also grow as a person. The new talent solutions offering is very exciting and being part of the very first company of its kind makes me look forward to our journey ahead.

Tell us what you think about our company culture.

I think for me and many other people, the culture at Opus is a major reason why we love working here. The environment is great fun, but everyone is striving to be their best, which pushes you to work hard every day. It’s also a really welcoming environment. I haven’t been here long, but I already feel like part of the family!

Tell us a bit about your role…

My role at Opus is Marketing Executive, this encompasses a plethora of responsibilities, from organising internal and client events to helping develop new websites and visuals for social media. I am lucky to work for such an inspiring boss and also to have the opportunity to work alongside other creatives and visionaries. We have a close partnership with creative agency, We Are DNA, as well as photographers and videographers who help us to continually build our brand.

What do you get up to on a typical day?

A typical day for me would include creating job and internal recruitment visuals for use on social media. Conceptualising ideas for creative video, events and partnerships. And all the nitty-gritty work of posting blogs, taking photos and running media campaigns. I work closely with the Internal Recruitment and Learning & Development teams, which means every day is different and exciting.

What’s the best thing about working here?

For me, the best thing about working here (apart from all the great people!) are the opportunities it has given me. I have been exposed to so many different areas of the business, worked closely with multiple teams and have been given a lot of responsibilities early on. This has meant that the learning curve for me has been dramatic and I truly love every minute.

What’s your opinion on our L&D?

As I am in marketing, I have not been exposed to the award-winning recruitment training here at Opus. I have however seen the tireless efforts of the L&D team, who are continually improving and adapting the training programme to ensure it continues to be the best in the business.

What incentivises you at work?

It really is a great feeling when your hard work is recognised by others. Whether it’s someone coming up to you at lunch and telling you that you’ve done a good job or receiving a bonus. The recognition makes you want to continue working hard and striving for better. We have had a fantastic reaction to the website, and although I cannot take much responsibility, it’s still a great feeling to know your hard work has paid off.

What's been your biggest achievement?

The success of the rebrand to Opus Talent Solutions is my biggest achievement to date. It has been hard work, but I am really happy with how it has been received and am excited to continue building the brand.

What do you think makes someone successful at Opus?

I think to be successful at Opus you not only have to believe in yourself but also in those around you. It is such a tight-knit community that to succeed, everyone must work towards a common goal and help each other along the way. Opus is a fast-moving business, so being open to change and development will help you to grow alongside the company.

To anyone thinking about applying, what would you tell them?

To anyone applying, I would tell them, if you’re looking for an innovative, energetic and hard working environment, then Opus may well be the place for you!

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I like to exercise (sometimes more chatting than exercising though!). I am a keen snowboarder and surfer, so weekend trips to the coast with friends are regular. I recently renovated an old van into a camper and took it around Europe, so I’m currently looking for my next DIY project!
